The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Barahara P.S. Case No. 303 of 2019 dated 01.09.2019, corresponding to Excise Case No. 1759 of 2019, instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

43.200 litres of liquor is said to have recovered from a Bolero vehicle which is stated to be of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the vehicle in question does not belong to him. The petitioner does not have criminal antecedents.

No.33716 of 2020(2) dt.18-03-2021 2/2 Considering the aforestated facts, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, on his furnishing bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 4th Additional District Judge, Ara, Bhojpur in connection with Barahara P.S. Case No. 303 of 2019, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
