Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered under sections 25 (I-B) a, 26 of the Arms Act.

Petitioner is languishing in jail custody since 6.11.2015 on the accusation that one country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from his conscious possession. Petitioner does have criminal antecedent of near about eight cases but prior to institution of the present case, no case of Arms Act had been registered against the petitioner.

Submission on behalf of the petitioner is that present case is nothing but only highhandedness of the police. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances as well as the period of detention of the petitioner in jail custody, let the petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs 10,000/-
