The petitioner apprehends her arrest in connection with Daudnagar P.S. Case No. 693 of 2024 instituted for the offences under Sections 80/103(1)/3(5) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

As per prosecution case, the accusation against the accused persons including the petitioner is of mentally torturing the Informant's sister for non-fulfillment of dowry demand and, ultimately, committing her murder.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence at all as alleged against her rather she has falsely been implicated in the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35992 of 2025(2) dt.25-06-2025 2/3 present case with a view to cause harassment. Petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased. Husband. The petitioner is separate in mess and business from the husband of the Informant's sister for the year 2020 and is living separately and, thus, she is not concerned with the day-to-day affairs of the husband of the Informant's sister. The husband of the deceased is already in custody since 04.02.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no direct or specific allegation of any overt act against the petitioner rather the same is general and omnibus in nature. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent. Other co-accused has been granted bail by this Court vide order dated 17-02-2025.

On the other hand, learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner. 6.

Considering the rival submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, let the petitioner above-named, in the event of her arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, be released on anticipatory bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned court below where the case is pending/successor court in connection with Daudnagar
