The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Special Case No. 10 of 2018 arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No. 30 of 2018, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 7/13(2) r/w Section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
The allegation is regarding the petitioner having been apprehended red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs. 15,000/- from the complainant while working in the capacity of Block Education Officer, Hasanganj.
The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has got no criminal

It is further submitted that the petitioner has already been inflicted ample punishment inasmuch as the petitioner is under suspension and is facing a disciplinary proceeding with regard to the same allegation. Mr. Ajay Mishra, the learned counsel appearing for the Vigilance has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case as also the period of custody already undergone, I deem it fit and proper to enlarge the petitioner on regular bail. Accordingly, the above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge Vigilance, Patna in connection with Special Case No. 10 of 2018 arising out of Vigilance Case No. 30 of 2018.
