For the Petitioners : Mr. Arbind Kumar, Advocate For the Respondents : Mr. Partha Sharatha, GA 11 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SAMARENDRA PRATAP SINGH ORAL ORDER 02-09-2016 Petitioner was appointed as constable in the year 1955 in Muzaffarpur District Police force and his Constable no. was 1032.He was dismissed from service on 13.10.1970. Petitioner submits that time and again he approached the authorities for payment of his GPF amount accumulated against his GPF Account No. 70187 D.P 0322252, but all in vain.

State counsel submits that petitioner's writ petition is fit to be dismissed on the ground of laches and delay as he has approached the Court after 44 years. He submits that in the circumstances claim of interest is too devoid of merit. As the petitioner has approached this Court belatedly,

Patna High Court CWJC No.5156 of 2014 (2) dt.02-09-2016 2/2 no positive direction is issued. It would be open for him to approach respondents no. 5 and 6 for claim and payment of his GPF dues as well as other dues.

The application is disposed of with aforesaid observation.
