2. This application has been filed for direction to the respondent authorities for grant of license of DBBL Gun to the petitioner for the safety of life and property.

3. The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner had filed an application in 2008 for grant of license but till date nothing has happened.

4. If a citizen files an application for grant of license, it should be considered by the concerned authority. Non consideration of the application by the authorities causes injustice to the citizens.

5. The petitioner is directed to file a fresh

Patna High Court CWJC No.8376 of 2023(2) dt.23-11-2023 2/2 application before the authority as the new rules for grant of license have come and the application of the petitioner shall be considered and finally decided by the respondents within six months from the date of filing of the application.

6. The District Magistrate, Rohtas is directed to dispose of all the pending applications of arms license within six months from the date of communication of this order.

7. The District Magistrate, Rohtas will start this exercise and will initially dispose of the old applications and thereafter all the pending applications must be disposed of within six months.

8. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the District Magistrate, Rohtas through FAX for its compliance forthwith.

9. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this application is disposed of.
