2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Sadar Excise P.S. Case No.27 of 2025, registered under Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, 288 litres of illicit liquor was recovered from Wagon-R car. Petitioner was apprehended when he tried to escape from the spot.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. Further submission is that petitioner is neither the owner nor the driver of the seized car. Petitioner has no concern either with the seized illicit liquor or with the car in question. Nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35116 of 2025(3) dt.06-08-2025 2/2 petitioner. Petitioner is in custody since 25.01.2025 and the charge sheet has already been submitted in this case. Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and he undertakes to cooperate in the trial.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions of learned counsel for the parties, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Madhubani in connection with Sadar Excise P.S.
