The petitioners seek bail in connection with G.O. Case No. 46 of 2019 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act, 2016. It is alleged in the written report that police intercepted one tractor and recovered 615.9 litres of foreign liquor and 72 litres of Beer. Petitioner no. 1 was driver of the tractor and petitioner no. 2 was sitting on the aforesaid tractor. Petitioners are in custody since 09.03.2019.
Considering the recovery of huge quantity of illicit liquor from tractor, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32558 of 2019(2) dt.16-05-2019 2/2 petitioners at this stage. The prayer for bail of the petitioners stand rejected.
Petitioners may renew their prayer for bail after completing six months in custody.
