The petitioners seek bail in anticipation of their arrest in connection with Govindganj P.S. Case No. 138/2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 342,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.33534 of 2020(2) dt.10-03-2021 2/3 323, 325, 307, 379, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioners are alleged to have assaulted the informant and others. The specific act of assaulting the informant is on petitioner no. 2, namely Sagar Sahani @ Gajraj Shahani.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the fact that because of an old land dispute, an occurrence had taken place but the accusation has been unnecessarily made to look serious. The injuries suffered by the informant is stated to be simple in nature.

Considering the background of the litigation, the petitioners, above named, are directed to be released on bail, in the event of their arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-I, Motihari,
