The petitioner seeks bail in a case under Sections 341, 323, 379, 386, and 504/24 of the Indian Penal Code. The informant made an allegation that the petitioner being Mukhiya threatened the informant and asked him to pay extortion for verification of the stock of BPL grains. On denial, the petitioner snatched the key of his motorcycle. It is submitted that the petitioner is in jail for past three-and-a half months.

Shri Ambika Bhagat, learned Spl. P.P., opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the facts of the case and nature of the
