JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR) Date : 27-06-2022 Mr. Nand Kishore Prasad, learned advocate for the petitioner points out that the appeal against the order of the licensing authority cancelling the license of the petitioner namely Supply Appeal No. 26/2018 has yet not been disposed of. It is strange as also disconcerting to note that the statutory appeal is kept pending on board of the appellate authority for such a long time.
Times without number, this Court has cautioned the authorities not to keep such petitions pending as there can be no justification for the same.
Patna High Court CWJC No.22218 of 2018 dt.27-06-2022 2/2 Under such circumstances, we direct the appellate authority to dispose of the appeal positively within a period of sixty days, to be counted from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order after affording opportunity to the petitioner to represent his cause and the order so passed by the authority shall provide reasons in support of such order.
Any deviation from the timeline provided in this order shall be viewed very seriously.
With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
