Pursuant to the last order dated 26.06.2023, a second supplementary show-cause has been filed annexing the letter no.823 dated 30.06.2023 as also letter no.836 dated 06.07.2023 both addressed to the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna received in the office on 07.07.2023.
Mr. Ram Yash Singh, learned counsel appearing for the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna on the other hand brought on record the letter dated 23.06.2023 in which it has been stated
Patna High Court MJC No. 2685 of 2017(4) dt.11-07-2023 2/2 that total amount of Gratuity Rs.4,83,780/- has already been authorized and as such no claim is pending before his office. If the payment has not been cleared by the Treasury Officer, Saran at Chapra, the petitioner to appear on 17th of July before the Treasury Officer, Saran at Chapra who shall take steps to immediately clear the amount as per the letters issued by the District Programme Officer (Establishment) as also the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna relating to the petitioner. If the Treasury Officer, Saran at Chapra fails to comply with the order, the learned counsel shall file a contempt petition immediately against him.
This order is being passed in the presence of the State counsel who shall inform the Treasury Officer by the order. Needless to say, the opposite party shall ensure that the pension of the petitioner starts.
