It is admitted at the Bar that the petitioner has in writing stated before the State-respondents that the said amount of Rs. 18,54,000/- has been paid and nothing more is due to be paid against the said claim.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that it appears that the petitioner has been coerced by the respondents to state in writing that no further amount is payable to him since admittedly, no interest has been paid against the amount in question, which remained for four years. Since the amount which the petitioner has claimed in the writ petitioner has admittedly been paid which arises out of contractual obligation, no further order is required to be passed in the present writ proceeding.
