The petitioner seeks bail in Sessions Trial No 268 of 2019 arising out of Maheshkhunt Police Station (for brevity PS) Case No 49 of 2019 instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 324, 326, 307, 498A/34 of Indian Penal Code (for brevity, IPC) and later on cognizance has also been taken under Section 304B of IPC.

Prayer for bail of petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court under order dated 20.03.2020 passed in Cr Misc No 1353 of 2020 (Annexure 1).

Report received from the trial Court, pursuant to the earlier order of this Court, suggests that 2 out of the 13

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32547 of 2020(3) dt.24-02-2021 2/2 witnesses have been examined. Remaining witnesses could not be examined due to the COVID - 19 Pandemic.

Prayer for bail is again rejected.

This Court would expect that the trial Court would conclude the trial expeditiously, without any delay and preferably within four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
