JUSTICE MADHURESH PRASAD ORAL ORDER 09-02-2021 Mr. Yogesh Chandra Verma, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is very vulnerable and his life and property is under constant threat. There is a report in this regard also by the Officer-in-Charge of Muffasil Sadar Police Station, Munger, recommending grant of personal security to the petitioner under communication dated 22.01.2019, addressed to the Additional Superintendent of Police, Sadar Munger.
Patna High Court CWJC No.459 of 2021(3) dt.09-02-2021 2/2 Learned State Counsel submits that for looking into such requests, there is a District Level Security Committee in every District, headed by the District Magistrate. In view of such submission of the State Counsel, the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be making his application along with recommendation of the Officer-in-Charge dated 22.01.2019 before the District Magistrate, Munger (Respondent No.6) by the end of this week.
If such application is submitted by the petitioner, having regard to the apprehensions raised by the petitioner, which find reflection in the recommendation dated 22.01.2019, this Court would observe that the Respondent No.6 would be obliged to consider the same expeditiously by placing it in the District Level Security Committee and take immediate measures to ensure protection of petitioner's life and property, in accordance with law, expeditiously and preferably within a fortnight.
The writ application is disposed of.
