The petitioner seeks bail in Parsa P.S. Case No.182 of 2020, registered under Sections 304(B) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant alleged that he married his daughter with Bittu Kumar Rai, son of the petitioner, in the year 2018. His daughter remained happily for sometime but thereafter her husband, father-in-law and other accused persons started subjecting her to different sorts of torture due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry. The informant got information that his daughter was admitted in the hospital of Dr. Umesh Chandra Sharma and on such information the informant and others went

Many villagers came and only then the informant was allowed to enter into the hospital and saw that his daughter was dead. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent. Petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased. From the postmortem report, it would appear that the deceased hanged herself to death. There is no other injury on her body. The deceased committed suicide after she had some altercation with her husband. The petitioner is in jail since 17.06.2020.

Taking into consideration the facts and nature of allegation made against the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner is the father-in-law of the deceased and he is in jail for about six months, petitioner, namely, Raj Kishore Rai @ Bholu Rai is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M.-II, Chapra, District Saran in connection with Parsa P.S. Case No.182 of 2020.
