2. The petitioner has prayed for bail in connection with Chandi P.S. Case No.216 of 2026 registered for the offence under Sections 80(2) & 3(5) of B.N.S.
3. The case of the prosecution, in short, is that Lucy Kumari (deceased) was married to Kalyan Kumar. The informant was informed that Lucy has fallen from roof and she was rushed to Patna, where she died during treatment.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the allegation against the petitioner is that he along with other in-laws have assaulted the deceased due to which the deceased has died. Learned counsel for the petitioner has further submitted that from perusal of the FIR
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.34718 of 2026(2) dt.20-05-2026 2/2 itself it is clear that the petitioner is mother-in-law of the deceased and the nature of allegation is general and omnibus. From perusal of FIR itself, it is clear that the first information which was given to the informant was regarding fall of the deceased from the roof. Learned counsel for the petitioner has further submitted that the main thrust of allegation is against the husband of the deceased. Petitioner is a lady and she is in judicial custody since 20.03.2026.
5. The application for bail is opposed by learned APP for the State.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the court of learned A.C.J.M., Hilsa, Nalanda in connection with Chandi P.S. Case No.216 of 2026.
