Petitioners seek bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 272, 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 47, 51 of Excise Act.
Petitioners were caught with thirty litres country made liquor for which they are languishing in jail custody since 15.04.2016 without having any criminal antecedent. No doubt, the punishment for the alleged offence has already been enhanced by amendment in Excise Act but taking note of the aforesaid facts and circumstances as well as period of detention of the petitioners in jail custody, let the petitioners be
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.23700 of 2016 (3) dt.12-07-2016 2/2 released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sitamarhi in connection with Kanhauli P.S. Case No. 37 of 2016.
