JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 07-06-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sasaram Nagar (Model) P.S. Case No. 353 of 2016 registered under Sections 427, 307, 387 of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 3 & 4 of the Explosive Substances Act, Sections 10, 13 and 16 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

It would be evident from perusal of the FIR and impugned order passed by the learned 1st Additional Sessions Judge, Rohtas at Sasaram that the petitioner got injured while carrying 30 detonators and other explosive substances. It would further be evident that in course of investigation, it transpired that

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.24915 of 2016 (2) dt.07-06-2016 2/2 he has been made accused in at least three other cases of serious nature of kidnapping for ransom and extortion. Regard being had to the serious nature of allegation as also the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant him bail. Accordingly, the application for bail is rejected.
