JUSTICE HARISH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 02-07-2026 Learned Senior Advocate Mr. M N Parbat, at the outset, fairly submits at the bar that during pendency of the present writ petition, certain subsequent development has taken place; as respondent no. 6 'Sri Nawal Kishor Prasad', aggrieved with the action of C.P.I.O. preferred Second Appeal No. CIC/RUGBK/A/2017/182646. The Information Commissioner vide its order dated 31.12.2020 has been pleased to pass the

Patna High Court CWJC No.10491 of 2020(6) dt.02-07-2026 2/2 order, as follows:- "6. The Commission after adverting to the facts and circumstances of the case, hearing the respondent and perusal of records, observes that due reply has been furnished by the respondent and delay explained. Perusal of the records reveals that there was delay on part of the respondent but the same appears to be inadvertent. The explanations submitted by the respondent in response to the show-cause notice are reasonable. Further considering the unconditional apology and absence of any mala fide on part of the respondent, it would not be appropriate to impose penalty on them. In view of this, the Show-Cause notices issued to Shri Mr.

Manohar Singh Arora, CPIO and Shri Vishwas Bhajan, the then CPIO, are hereby dropped. With the above observation and directions, the appeal is disposed of."

2. The copy of the aforenoted order has also been placed and taken on record.

3. Considering the facts that the greivance of the petitioner has been addressed by the Information Officer while hearing the appeal, the present writ petition stands disposed off in the light of the aforesaid order.
