The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Town (Nawada) P.S. Case No. 132 of 2020 dated 08.02.2020 instituted for the offence under Section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. On raid by the police party, raw materials in the nature of mahua leaves and jaggery along with 21 litres of manufactured liquor were recovered from an open space. On disclosure by local villagers, the name of three persons transpired as those who were manufacturing / brewing the liquor. Two of such named accused persons have been

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.32411 of 2020(2) dt.09-02-2021 2/2 granted anticipatory bail by different Benches of this Court. The petitioner does not have criminal antecedents and his case is exactly similar to the accused persons, who have been granted anticipatory bail.

Considering the aforesaid facts, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge -II-cum-Special Judge, Nawada, in connection with Town (Nawada) P.S. Case No. 132 of 2020, subject to the condition laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Ashutosh Kumar, J) sunilkumar/- U T
