The petitioner is aggrieved by the order of suspension issued on 18.03.2016, in contemplation of the departmental proceedings. The suspension order cannot continue for indefinite period. The respondents, in contemplation of the departmental proceeding, passed order of suspension dated 18.03.2016. The petitioner remained under suspension for more than three years, yet the departmental proceedings has not been

Considering the aforesaid circumstances, the order of suspension dated 18.03.2016 cannot be allowed to continue and is, accordingly, quashed.
The respondents are directed to conclude departmental proceeding, if any pending against the petitioner, at the earliest, preferably within a period of four months from today failing which the departmental proceeding shall also come to end after four months from today.
