JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 26-10-2021 Heard Mr. Shashi Shekhar Tiwary, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Ritesh Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the J.P. University, Chapra and Mr. Jai Prabhat Kishore, learned AC to SC-13 for the State.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has retired seven years back in the year 2014 and as of today, Group Insurance amount, differential amount towards Earned Leave and benefits of 7th pay revision have not been paid to the petitioner.

Patna High Court CWJC No.146 of 2021(4) dt.26-10-2021 2/3 Learned counsel for the University, referring to the counter affidavit filed on behalf of Respondents No. 5 to 7, submits that the amount towards difference of leave encashment to the tune of Rs. 10,340/- is due and the same is under process for payment to the petitioner. He further submits that Group Insurance amount of Rs. 2,29,849/- is also under process to be paid to the petitioner and referring to para-8 of the counter affidavit, learned counsel submits that a sum of Rs. 2,13,238/- is also under process for payment to the petitioner toward difference of salary arrears for the period of 27.07.1998 to 30.06.2014.

Learned counsel for the University further submits that the Finance Officer has joined recently in the University and since User-ID and password have not been provided by the Treasury Officer to the Finance Officer, J.P. University, that is why, the aforesaid amount has not been transferred to the bank account of the petitioner and the same is likely to be transferred within a period of two months.

In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the University, the Registrar and the Finance Officer of the University, i.e., Respondent Nos. 6 and 7 respectively are, hereby, directed to ensure that the amount due towards Group

With regard to remaining grievance, if any, the petitioner will be at liberty to file representation, if so advised. With the aforesaid observation and direction, instant writ petition stands disposed of.
