1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That the present writ application is being filed in the nature of Mandamus for a direction to the Bihar State Subordinate Service Commission to provide marks of the petitioner in mains examination which was conducted on 29.11.2020 in relation to Advertisement No. 1 of 2019 for appointment of Police Sub-Inspector of the petitioner bearing Roll No. 6511120781 in the BC category; on the ground that the petitioner's exam for mains was better much more than 75% and the Commission is having one copy of the mains paper, the cut off for mains is 72.6% and the final selection

Patna High Court CWJC No.14085 of 2021(2) dt.04-01-2024 2/2 is for 72.8% in BC category;

II. That the present writ application is being filed in the nature of Mandamus for a direction to the Bihar State Subordinate Service Commission to consider and appoint the petitioner on the post of Police Sub-Inspector in relation to Advertisement No.1 of 2019 if having more or equal marks of final cut off as 72.8% in BC category."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondentauthorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
