The case is registered under sections 147, 148, 149, 307, 427, 452, 504, 506 and 436 of the Indian Penal Code and later Section 302 was added, in connection with Banka (Barahat) P.S. Case No. 392 of 2020.

The prosecution story, in brief, is that the accused persons including the petitioner herein surrounded the house of the informant and set it on fire. It is further specifically alleged that the accused Md. Shamsher assaulted with iron rod to the brother of the informant. They also set the household articles on fire.

No.36346 of 2022(2) dt.19-09-2022 2/2 It is a case of putting the hut of the informant on fire and subsequently assaulting one of the member of the family of the informant who succumbed to the injuries. Considering the aforesaid nature of allegation that has been attributed to the accused persons including the petitioner herein, this Court is not inclined to grant him the privilege of bail which is accordingly rejected. The trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferably withing a period of one year. (Rajiv Roy, J) Ravi/Ajay Singh U T
