JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 27-04-2023 The present petition has been filed seeking the following relief :- "(i) For quashing the office order no. 1526 dated 06.04.2005, passed by the District Magistrate, Siwan, as contained in Annexure-3 to the writ petition, by which his Arms (Rifle) licence no. 162 of 2001 has been cancelled holding that the same is illegal and unsustainable in the eyes of law and further for a direction to the concerned respondent to restore the Arms licence of the petitioner." At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to file fresh application for grant of Arms licence in accordance with the provisions contained under the new Arms Rules, 2016.
