The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents to grant the petitioner monetary benefits under Samajik Suraksha Scheme as the wife of the petitioner who was working as prerak under Sakchar Bharat Mission in Godaipatti Gram Panchayat, Block- Hanumannagar, District- Darbhanga died on 31.08.2015 due to snake bite leaving behind her two small children.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in this regard, he has filed representation upon which the Circle Officer, Hanumannagar, District-Darbhanga has taken a decision

Patna High Court CWJC No.8673 of 2018(3) dt.14-05-2024 2/2 about the entitlement of the monetary benefits for which the petitioner has been entitled. Counsel further submits that in spite of the decision taken by the Circle Officer, Hanumannagar, no monetary benefit has been granted to the petitioner who is alleged to be the husband of the deceased prerak.

4. In this regard, no counter affidavit has been filed from the State in spite of the fact that this writ petition has been filed in the year 2018 and six years have already been lapsed.

In this view of the matter, the petitioner is directed to file a fresh representation before the District Magistrate, Darbhanga who upon consideration of the representation of the petitioner shall pass a reasoned and speaking order and if, found that the petitioner is entitled for monetary benefits, then the said monetary benefits shall be directed to be paid to the petitioner within three months from the date of production of the representation along with the order passed by this Court.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is hereby disposed off.
