The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the respondents to consider his case for compassionate appointment.
Earlier the mother of the petitioner had applied for compassionate appointment, but she died and thereafter the petitioner has filed the present writ application. Compassionate appointment as a social security measure regulated by the policy decision and is not a reservation in job.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits the
Patna High Court CWJC No.3371 of 2018(4) dt.26-08-2019 2/2 petitioner was minor at the time of death of his father, the bread earner, and as such this case requires consideration. Considering the fact that compassionate appointment is designed to tied over the immediate financial crisis, the Court is not inclined to grant any indulgence, as the family has passed the immediate financial crisis and appointment on compassionate ground is not permissible after such a long time. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.
