2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 70(2) of the B.N.S., Sections 4 and 6 of the POCOS Act and Sections 3(1)(w)(i), 3(2) and 3(2) (v) of the Schedules Caste and Schedules Tribes (POA) Act.

3. As per prosecution case, the minor daughter of informant had gone to cut grass in the fields. While she was cutting grass, this petitioner, along with co-accused Balram Tanti, caught her and took her to mango orchard and committed rape with the victim. During trial, the victim in her statement recorded under Section 183 of the B.N.S.S. has supported the prosecution case and categorically stated that this petitioner, along with co-accused Balram Tanti, committed rape with her.
