The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Special Case No. 06 of 2020 (arising out of Digha P. S. Case No. 19 of 2020), instituted for the offences under Sections 20 and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

One Dinesh Ray is said to have been arrested by police party with three sachets of brown sugar. He is said to have disclosed that the aforesaid narcotic was

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner and the aforesaid Dinesh Ray is resident of the same locality and only because they are on inimical terms, this occasion has been utilized to his advantage by aforesaid Dinesh Ray in naming the petitioner as the seller of the aforesaid narcotic.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he has got no concern with the affairs of aforesaid Dinesh Ray and he is a person of clean antecedents.

Considering the afore-stated facts, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to
