2. The petitioner has preferred this writ petition for directing the respondents to consider his case for promotion from the post of Sub-Inspector of Police to Inspector of Police from the date when his juniors were granted promotion vide letter dated 27.11.2024, Annexure - P/4.

3. It is submitted by the counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was appointed as Sub-Inspector of Police in the year of 2009, vide Notification No. 19300 dated 13.10.2023, General Administration Department came out with the rules

Patna High Court CWJC No.9892 of 2025(2) dt.30-06-2025 2/3 with regard to giving promotion of the said employees on temporary basis. In the light of above vide Annexure - P/4 promotions have been given to the Sub-Inspectors to the post of Inspector. In the said list name of the petitioner is mentioned as ineligible candidate without giving any reason in the list. According to the counsel juniors of the petitioners have been given temporary charge of Inspector and the name of the petitioner has not been considered without giving any reason. Therefore, subsequently he made a representation before the respondent vide Annexure - P/5 dated 17.04.2025, which is still pending. He submits that this petition may be disposed of, directing the concerned respondent to consider and decide the pending representation of the petitioner i.e. Annexure - P/5 dated 17.04.2025 within any specific period fixed by this Court.

4. The above prayer made by the counsel is not opposed by the counsel for the respondent-State. He submits that if this Court directs then the pending representation of the petitioner will be decided by the respondents within any specific period fixed by this Court.

5. On the basis of submissions made by both the counsels appearing for both the parties, this petition is disposed of, directing the concerned respondents to consider and decide

Patna High Court CWJC No.9892 of 2025(2) dt.30-06-2025 3/3 the pending representation of the petitioner i.e. Annexure - P/5 dated 17.04.2025 in accordance with relevant rules and laws and pass a reasoned order as early as possible probably within 60 days from the receipt of copy of the order of this Court.

6. With the aforesaid observation, this writ petition is disposed of.
