2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 307, 379, 384, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per prosecution case, on the alleged date and time of occurrence, this petitioner is alleged to have demanded rangdari of Rs. 5,00,000/- from the informant and on refusal, assaulted the informant with iron rod.
4. It is submitted by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. As a matter of fact, the informant wanted to grab the land of one Sheela Devi. However, she negotiated the deal of the said land with one Ranjit Kumar and this petitioner was a witness of the same and retaliation, this false

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner and submitted that this petitioner assaulted the informant by means of iron rod and the doctor has found the injuries sustained by the informant to be grievous in nature.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances and nature of injuries sustained by the injured, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) shashank/- U T
