2. The petitioner apprehends her arrest in connection with Dev P.S. Case No. 05/ 2025 dated 06.01.2025 registered for the offence(s) punishable under Section(s) 7 of the E.C. Act.

3. The main submissions advanced by the petitioner's counsel are that the instant matter relates to the recovery of 8 quintal of rice meant for the distribution under the PDS scheme from the shop of one Premlal Saw and the petitioner has been made accused on the basis of disclosure made by the said shopkeeper that it was the petitioner who sold six quintal of rice to him and in respect of other two quintal of rice he disclosed that the same was sold to him by the beneficiaries of the PDS

No.36249 of 2025(2) dt.20-06-2025 2/3 scheme and only on that basis the petitioner has been made accused but to verify the said allegation of the shop-keeper, Premlal Saw the concerned Block Supply Officer, who is informant in this matter, did not make any attempt to verify the stock register of the petitioner's PDS godown where she kept the grains meant for distribution under the PDS scheme and in the present time, it is not possible by any PDS dealer to sell the grains meant for PDS scheme without getting the bio-metric finger impression of the concerned beneficiary and in this regard no enquiry or investigation was made by the concerned informant or the I.O. It is lastly submitted that the petitioner has clean past and she has not remained involved in any kind of offence and she is widow lady.

4. Learned APP appearing for the State has opposed the bail prayer of the petitioner.

5. Considering the aforesaid submissions advanced by the petitioner's counsel and mainly taking into account the petitioner's fair antecedent and also the fact that she is a widow lady, this court is inclined to grant the relief of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, let the petitioner named-above, in the event of her arrest/surrender before the learned court below within a period of six weeks from today, be released on
