Petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 324, 307, 379, 504, 506, 494, 498(A), 354/34 of the Indian Penal Code. As per the prosecution case, petitioners along with other family members committed torture on the informant due to non-fulfilment of dowry demand.

Petitioner no. 1 is the mother-in-law, petitioner no. 2 is the sister-in-law, petitioner nos. 3 and 4 are brothers-in-law.

No.36001 of 2023(2) dt.07-07-2023 2/2 It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that specific allegation of torture and harassment is against the husband of the informant who is already in custody. It is further submitted that the petitioners are separate in mess and property and have got no concern with the alleged occurrence. The allegation against these petitioners is general and omnibus. Petitioners claim clean criminal antecedent.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioners, as named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vaishali at Hajipur in connection with Raghopur (Rustampur O.P.) P.S. Case No. 18 of 2023, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
