The petitioner has invoked the writ jurisdiction of this Court for direction to the respondents to provide adequate security to protect the life of the petitioner and his family members. In pursuance of the order of this Court dated 19.10.2016
Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.749 of 2016 dt.04-04-2017 2/2 a bodyguard was provided to the petitioner and the facility of bodyguard is being extended from time to time after scrutiny of the situation and requirement by the District Security Committee consisting of the District Magistrate, the Superintendent of Police and the Deputy Superintendent of Police of the district. In the circumstances, this writ application is being disposed of with observation that the District Security Committee if thinks to withdraw the facility of bodyguard would assign cogent reason supported by material.
