The writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondent-State in its Department of Disaster Management to compensate those sufferers of the flood 2017 in the district of
Patna High Court CWJC No.1623 of 2018(4) dt.26-03-2019 2/2 Madhubani falling under the Bheja Panchayat.
A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent No.7 i.e the Sub- Divisional Officer, Jhanjharpur and paragraphs 9 and 10 of the said counter affidavit which goes uncontested, brings to an end, all issues raised. It is informed that on information called for from the affected persons, those who submitted their papers along with their claim have been given compensation while those who did not file any such claim were denied compensation. This counter affidavit was served on the learned counsel for the petitioner on 20.09.2018 but has not been contested.
In the circumstances, we are satisfied by the response to dispose of the writ petition.
