It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that licence no.01/2011 was granted to him for revolver. An application was made for extension of the area of such licence from the district concerned to the State of Bihar in the year 2012 but the same has remained pending before the Licensing Authority as no decision has been taken till date. Another licence was granted to him for N.P. Bore rifle being licence no.03/2015. Thereafter, the petitioner has again filed an application for extension of area of the aforesaid firearm but that is also pending till date.

Patna High Court CWJC No.10921 of 2016 dt.01-08-2016 2 / 2 Accordingly, I dispose of the writ application directing the District Magistrate, Begusarai to take a decision upon the applications of the petitioner on its own merit and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if the same has already not been taken.
