The petitioner is in custody in connection with Bachhwara P.S. Case No. 41 of 2019, registered for the offence punishable under Section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent. He further submits that in the instant case approx 721 liters of foreign liquor was recovered. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that petitioner is in custody in this case since 14.03.2019. Considering the facts that petitioner has no criminal antecedent and he has remained in custody for 2 1⁄2 months, let the petitioner named above be released on bail on furnishing
