The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, information was received that one Anishu Rahman had hidden liquor in the bamboo clump near his house with the assistance of the petitioner and one another. On a raid being conducted 304.8 litres of liquor were recovered from the bamboo clump in front of the house of Anishu Rahman.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case, the nature of allegations together with the petitioner having remained in custody for over 1 year, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Sheohar. P.S. Case no. 19 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge- 2nd -cum-Special Judge, Excise, Sheohar.
