The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to place the services of the petitioners, along with other appointees of the 2004 batch, above those of the 2009 batch appointees, and to make the necessary corrections in the seniority list. The petitioners further pray that they be granted seniority in accordance with the select list prepared for the appointment of constables in District Force, Motihari, pursuant to Advertisement No. 01/2004.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that there are several decisions in which similarly situated individuals have been granted relief by this Hon'ble Court, and therefore, their case is covered under Section 4C of the Bihar State Litigation Policy, 2011. Learned counsel for the petitioners relies on the orders passed by this Hon'ble Court, which have been annexed in the supplementary affidavit.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that, at no occasion, the petitioners have relied on such decisions. As such, the writ petition may be disposed of by directing the petitioners to file a fresh representation before respondent No. 4, namely, the D.I.G. of Police, Champaran Range, Bettiah, annexing copies of the orders/judgements they are relying upon. It may further be directed that the representation be disposed of within a fixed period.

5. In view of the aforesaid, the petitioners are directed to file a fresh representation before respondent No. 4, namely, the D.I.G. of Police, Champaran Range, Bettiah, along with the relevant orders/judgments they are relying on, within 30 days from today. Upon receipt of the said representation, respondent No. 4, the D.I.G. of Police, Champaran Range, Bettiah, shall dispose of the same by a reasoned and speaking order within 90

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
