The grievance of the petitioner is that he is an accused in Samastipur Mahila Police Station Case No.42 of 2014. Despite the fact that no evidence has been collected so far, the investigation is still kept pending.

Having considered the averments made in the writ petition and materials on record and upon hearing the parties, it is hereby directed that respondent No.2, namely, Superintendent of Police, Samastipur, shall enquire into the grievances raised in the writ petition, do the needful in accordance with law and get the

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.802 of 2016 (2) dt.30-08-2016 2/2 investigation of Samastipur Mahila P.S. Case No.42 of 2014 completed expeditiously, preferably, within a period of six months, ensuring proper, fair and effective investigation in such a way that no innocent person is harassed.

Let a copy of this order be sent forthwith to the Superintendent of Police, Samastipur, and Officer-in-Charge, Samastipur Mahila Police Station.
