2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bagaha PS Case No.207 of 2024 dated 07.08.2024, instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 80, 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
3. The prosecution case, in brief, is that a dead body was noticed by the villagers near the village of the informant. When the informant went there, he identified the dead body to be his sister, Anita Kumari. It is further alleged that all the accused named in the FIR were pressurizing her daughter to get money from his father as dowry and the accused persons have killed her due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not named in the FIR. It is a case dowry death as per the prosecution story. The petitioner is not the family members of the in-laws of the deceased. It is further submitted that during course of investigation, one witness, Laddu Chaudhary, in paragraph no.32 of the case diary, has stated that this petitioner was seen following Anita Devi i.e., the deceased, who was moving towards sugarcane field and on the next day her dead body was found in sugarcane field. It is also submitted that except this material, there is nothing to connect the petitioner with the alleged crime. Lastly, it is submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 25.02.2025 and nine criminal cases are pending against the petitioner.

Learned APP has opposed the prayer for bail and submits that the in the case diary it has come that Call Details Records of the mobile of the petitioner was obtained during the course of investigation and it has come that the petitioner was in regular touch with the deceased. The petitioner in his confessional statement has disclosed that he killed the deceased at the instance of her husband Mukesh Kumar.
6. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, I am

7. Accordingly, prayer of the petitioner for grant of bail is rejected for the present.
8. The Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and take all endeavour to conclude the same as early as possible, preferably, within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
