However, learned counsel for the State is present. In the present writ petition, claim has been made for compassionate appointment. Father of the petitioner died on 10.12.1974. Application for appointment on compassionate ground has been filed after delay of 40 years. In such view of the matter, this Court does not find any merit in this writ petition. According it is dismissed on the ground of delay and laches.
