The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sonepur P. S. Case No. 13 of 2016 dated 08.01.2016, instituted for offences under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and 47(A) of the Excise Act. Eighty (80) litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from the field of the petitioner where he is alleged to have been manufacturing the same.

However, for grant of bail, learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.33543 of 2020(2) dt.16-12-2020 2/2 the period of custody of the petitioner which is from 30.07.2020 and that he is a person of clean antecedents.

Considering the aforesaid two facts, viz, the period of custody of the petitioner and his clean antecedents, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge - cum- Special Judge, Excise, Saran, in connection with Sonepur P. S. Case No. 13 of 2016. The petition stands allowed.
