2. The petitioner apprehends arrest in in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner is on Police Bail.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it appears that the matter is well covered by the decision of this Court in the case of Mahendra Prasad Singh Vs. State of Bihar, reported in 2004(3) P.L.J.R., 491.

5. In view of the above, it is directed that petitioner may surrender before the Court below within a period of six weeks from today. In case, petitioner surrenders and files an

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41863 of 2023(3) dt.16-08-2023 2/2 application for bail, the concerned Court will pass an order in the similar manner as has been decided in the case of Mahendra Prasad Singh (Supra).
