The petitioner is languishing in custody for the offence punishable under Section 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Petitioner is husband of the victim of dowry death. Petitioner is in custody since 15.02.2020.
Allegation is of demand of dowry and torture for nonfulfillment of dowry demand. Informant is brother of the victim and parents of the victim are already dead. Besides informant other family members including the villagers have supported the allegation of demand of dowry and torture for the same. Considering the nature of allegation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail in connection with Daudpur P.S. Case No. 40 of 2020.
