The petitioner has sought direction upon the respondent no. 3 to enhance the monthly rent with respect to the premises of the petitioner which is on lease with the respondent authority with effect from 27th of April, 2010 on a monthly rent of Rs. 6,534/-.

Patna High Court CWJC No.8945 of 2020 dt.08-02-2022 2/2 The said agreement contains a renewal Clause which gives option to the lessee to renew the lease for a further period of 1, 5, 10 or 15 years on giving notice of such intention to the lessor at least three months before the date of expiration of the lease period. At the outset, Dr. K N Singh, learned ASG has apprised the Court that no final decision has been taken in the matter till now by the concerned committee. He has assured the Court that final decision shall be taken within one month from today and shall be conveyed to the petitioner forthwith. In view of the above, we feel no further adjudication of the matter is necessary at this stage.

The writ petition stands disposed off.

Needless to observe that if petitioner still has any grouse, he shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedy available under the law.
