Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner was awarded two marks for having obtained M.Phil degree in the year 2004 as the same was obtained prior to coming into force of the UGC Regulations of 2009. The counter has been filed by the respondents has not been replied to and the result has already been published. In view thereof, the prayer made by the petitioner for considering him for appointment on the post of Assistant Professor in Geography subject is found to be without basis. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
