The petitioner, who retired in the year 2004 from the post of Assistant teacher, has filed the present writ application claiming interest @ 12.5 per cent, 11 per cent, 9.5 per cent and

Patna High Court CWJC No.3945 of 2021(4) dt.22-11-2021 2/3 8 per cent respectively with effect from July, 1985 till the date of retirement i.e. 29.2.2004.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after calculating the interest at different rate for the different period, a detailed chart of deductions of GPF as well as interest thereon be provided to the petitioner by the Respondent No. 5 i.e. the District Provident Fund Officer, Patna.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the State submits that the rate of interest applicable for different period upon the GPF amount was paid to the petitioner regularly and the entire amount towards the GPF was paid to the petitioner on 15.9.2004 with interest. He further submits that after delay of about 16 years, the petitioner has filed the present writ application seeking details of deductions of GPF and interest paid thereupon.

After having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the statement made in paragraphs 9 and 10 of the counter affidavit, the petitioner is permitted to file a fresh representation before the District Provident Fund Officer, Patna (Respondent No. 5) raising his grievance and if such a representation is filed, the same shall be disposed by the District Provident Fund Officer Patna, in accordance with law as early
