JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 15-01-2016 Heard learned counsels for the petitioners and the State. The petitioners, who are father and brother of the husband of the victim, are apprehending their arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 498A, 323, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
The basic accusation is of torture for non fulfillment of dowry demands.
It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that main thrust of allegation is against the husband of the informant and the petitioners have been simply roped in the case because they are family members of the husband of the informant.
